Jesus just said that the kingdom of God belongs to such as the infants and children that people were bringing to Jesus. 

And then a rich ruler stepped up with an intriguing question: "Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" 

How would you answer that question? 

Jesus' response might surprise you because he tells him to keep the Law.

The ruler responded by telling Jesus that he has kept all the commandments since he was young. 

And then Jesus puts his finger on the one thing that brought clarity to the ruler. Unfortunately, he left Jesus disheartened. 

Here was a man looking into the face of Jesus, the one who gives the gift of eternal life, and he turns and walks away from the man from Nazareth. 

Join us this Sunday as we take a look at an illuminating episode from the life of Jesus that helps us understand ourselves, our Creator, and the one who has the power to save.
