Brazos Valley continues to see spike in hospitalizations

Folks, with the continued spike in hospitalizations in the Brazos County (general hospital capacity is at 95%, and ICUs are over capacity at 123%, according to the Brazos County Health District), we will be gathing online this week.

We view this as our part of a community wide effort to help flatten the curve, and while we would love to be able to offer an in-person service (especially after this week!), we deem it wise to postpone that option.

Thank you for your patience, and even more for your understanding.

Here is the info for our Zoom gathering this Sunday at 10am.

Here's what we'll be looking at together this Sunday...

Image - Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled (John 14-16).001

Well, any hopes that 2021 would not upstage 2020 has gotten off to a shaky start.

Many of us witnessed events this week in our nation's capitol that we thought we'd never see in our lifetimes.

To say that we are living in unsettling, troubled times would be an understatement.

So to help us process this a bit, we're going to look at some of the last words Jesus spoke to his disciples on the night he was arrested, illegally tried, and sentenced to state-sanctioned, religiously-blessed execution.

"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me" (The Gospel of John 14:1).

What did Jesus mean by this? And what difference should these words make in our lives during these times?

That is what we'll be seeking to understand as we take a fresh look at these daringly bold and sanity producing words of Jesus.
