On Resuming In-Person Worship

As we continue to monitor the news about the coronavirus in our community, as well as further investigation into the numbers and counsel from the medical community, we have decided to begin hosting services once again at the Hilton Garden Inn,even as we continue to offer an online option as well. This does represent a shift in our strategy from the last few weeks.

We are encouraged by the fact that over the five months that we hosted in-person worship at the end of 2020, we did not have a single instance of community spread (or for that matter to our knowledge, a single case of coronavirus among our church family). This is certainly no guarantee as we move forward with resuming in-person worship, but it is a testimony to the diligence of our attenders to abide by CDC guidelines for safety.

As we resume the option of in-person worship, we want to encourage those attending to continue to abide by the guidelines and what the medical community here in Bryan-College Station has been asking, namely, that we be vigilant in “following the recommended guidelines of physical distancing, masking and practicing good hand hygiene.”

Therefore, let’s continue doing what we have been doing over the last part of 2020: properly wearing masks during our time of gathered worship, practicing physical distancing, and helping keep one another healthy by practicing good hand hygiene.

As always, we’ll provide an online stream of our service through Facebook for those who would like to remain at home during this time. We honor your decision about the best option for you.

Thank you for your patience as we all try to navigate this pandemic wisely,

Elders John Ferguson & Dan Mizer

Here's what we will be studying in the Scriptures this week:

Graphic - Luke 11.14-28 (The Clash of Kingdoms).001

This week as we resume our study in the Gospel of Luke, we'll look at an interesting and bizarre episode from the life of Jesus in which his detractors accuse him of being in league with evil.

As hard as it may seem, the stubborn and hardened hearts of his opponents would go to any length--including accusing Jesus of being demonic--in order to avoid the implications of who he is and what he has come to do.

Join us this Sunday as we see in this miracle of Jesus not only a critical clue to his true identity, but also what he intends to do for this entire creation.

Hope you can join us in-person or online this Sunday at 10am!
