Slides - Luke 22.35-53 (Not My Will But Yours Be Done).001

Our journey though the Gospel of Luke brings us to the well known prayer of Jesus right before he is arrested and put on trial: "Not my will, but yours, be done."

But according to Luke, there's much more than meets the eye.

His disciples are going to be put to the test as well.

And will they follow the teachings of their Master when his enemies come to lay their hands on him? Or will they take matters into their own hands?

We'll learn much from this encounter, and some interesting information Luke tells us about the disciples of Jesus being armed going into this encounter.

Join us this Sunday as we consider this episode of Jesus, when as Jesus said the hour of the power of darkness arrives, and we'll consider how we respond when life's trials turn into temptation to do what is right in our own eyes.

Here's a copy of the worship folder for this Sunday.

We hope you can join us in person at 10am this Sunday at the Hilton Garden Inn!
