Mercy Hill Sunday Gathering - July 24, 2022
The ideals of justice, fairness, impartiality. These must be the bedrock of any society.
And yet, what happens when rulers no longer care about these ideals. Or worse, what happens when when they selectively apply them for their own purposes?
It looks like a society that no longer cares for the innocent.
This Sunday, we're going to look at the account in the Gospel of Luke in which Jesus stands before the authorities who cared nothing about justice for the innocent.
Both religious authorities and civil authorities for whom the slaughter of the innocent means nothing.
Join us this week as we learn both about the identity of Jesus and the declarations of his innocence by the civil authorities, who nevertheless could be pressured to slaughter Jesus.
Whether you are just exploring Christianity or returning to the faith or are a seasoned follower of Jesus, this account of Jesus right before his execution is crucial for not only understanding who he is, but for understanding the implications for our lives as well.
So we invite you to join us in person at 10am this Sunday at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Here's a copy of the worship folder.

PS: We are also offering a livestream option through our Facebook Page for those who cannot attend in person at this time. (Please note, we are dependent on the hotel's wifi so the quality of the livestream varies.)
