September 15, 2019 Speaker: John Ferguson Series: Justice, Mercy, & the Mission of Jesus
Scripture: Micah 6:8
Today, as we launch our series on “Justice, Mercy, & the Mission of Jesus,” we’re going to look at the words of one of these ancient prophets whom Jesus read and studied, a man by the name of Micah who was well-known for his memorable expressions and turns of phrases as he tried to awaken the conscience of his generation.
We’re going to look specifically at what are perhaps the most famous words that he uttered, words that Jesus himself would later echo when he tried to awaken the conscience of his generation. And in these unforgettable words from the lips of Micah, we’ll gain insight and learn wisdom about how God wants us to live and move and be human in our own generation as well.
So whether you are a devoted follower of Jesus or maybe you’re just sticking your toes into the water to see what it’s all about, I want to invite you to listen in on some very powerful words that have the potential to define your life and revolutionize your understanding of what it means to be human in this world.
