In this study of the life and teachings of Jesus, we look at the first time in the Gospel of Luke that Jesus begins to prepare his disciples for the fact that he will go away and one day return. 

Now, Jesus is referring to the ascension into heaven after his crucifixion and resurrection. But of course his disciples had no categories for this. In their minds, Messiahs don't die; they conquer. 

Nevertheless, Jesus teaches them that he wants them to be always prepared in every moment for his return at any moment.
