In this study, we look at the classic text about the downfall of humanity - Genesis 3. 

Up to this point in the story of the Scriptures, God had created two humans in order to crown them with his image (the imago dei) and gave them the mandate to multiply and exercise dominion over creation, which meant at the very minimum that they were called to rule with their Creator.

Up to this place in the story, Adam and Eve fully trusted and lived by every word that came from the mouth of God. But now with this temptation, they became “autonomous,” literally a law unto themselves. 

And the results were and are disastrous. 

God's original design for human flourishing is now shattered, and this affects everything to this day, including our relationships.
