Quick question: How would you know if you were deceived about something?

I mean, if we are deceived about something, by definition we wouldn't know it, would we?

But what if you are the one who is deceiving yourself?

First you would have to deceive yourself, and then you would have to deceive yourself that you are not deceiving yourself.

Crazy, right?

And it becomes even more alarming when you consider the biblical teaching that there is a power at work both outside us and within us that causes deception.

This Sunday at Mercy Hill, we will consider a passage from the New Testament Book of Hebrews which carries a sobering warning, but also an enduring call to action.

And it highlights the importance of why we need one another.

Join us this Sunday as we reflect upon Hebrews 3:12-13 in a message called, "Let Us Encourage One Another."

You need encouraging. I need encouraging. We all need encouraging.

And that's one of the reasons the early followers of Jesus leaned into a relational spirituality--seeing one another as vital to our own growth in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Following Jesus then is less like a solo journey and more like a group project. It's something we are meant to do together.
