Rejoicing that God is With Us & For Us
December 6, 2020 Speaker: John Ferguson Series: A Weary World Rejoices
Scripture: Matthew 1:18– 2:13
Do your remember Joan Osborne’s haunting song, “One of Us.”
“If God had a name, what would it be? ? And would you call it to his face if you were faced with him in all His glory? / Would would you ask if you had just one question / And yeah, yeah God is great; yeah yeah God is good // “What if God was one of us? Just a slob like one of us? Just a stranger on the bus trying to make his way home?”
The question is as bold as it is shocking to consider.
What IF God was one of us?
It is a central claim of Christianity that God did indeed become one of us when he took on flesh and blood in the person of Jesus Christ.
We're explore the implications in this message entitled, "Rejocing that God is With Us & For Us."
