Who We Are

To know who we are is to know what we are most passionate about, namely, Jesus Christ.

We believe that He didn’t come to just give us some answers to the big questions of life, but that He is the answer to life. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). He also said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10).

So who are we?

We are a family of people who have found Jesus to be intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually satisfying.

We come from different places and backgrounds, but the one thing we have in common is the freedom and hope we’ve found in Jesus, and we want as many people as possible to experience that same hope and freedom.

Where We Come From

Mercy Hill Church began as a dream in 2017 as around 20 people gathered to imagine a church that would truly welcome everyone no matter what their background, or struggles, or doubts, or questions, as they–along with us–seek to come to grips with the message of Jesus.

We want to be a church where folks who are jaded and cynical could once again or perhaps for the first time discover the freedom and hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Where We’re Headed

As we begin this journey, we’re committed to fostering a community of faith built around the freedom and hope of the good news of Jesus creates.

We’re committed to building a community that seeks to genuinely care for one another and to live out the new life that Jesus died to give us.

And we’re committed to being a community of faith that doesn’t exist for itself, but to be a blessing to our neck of the woods here in Bryan and College Station, Texas. We love this place and want to see it flourish as it was meant to.

What This Means For You

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, it means you are always welcome at Mercy Hill Church, no matter what your background or where you are on your own journey in life.

It’s an open invitation to come journey with us as we seek to learn more about and follow this most amazing person, Jesus of Nazareth.

Come with your questions, doubts, and struggles.

Whether you are new to Christianity and are simply exploring faith, or you are a seasoned follower of Jesus, feel free to poke around our website.

And please, accept our invitation to come visit and check out Mercy Hill Church. It would be an honor to have you!
