"You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup overflows."
These words of praise for the Good Shepherd highlight the role of the Shepherd in serving us, his sheep, and give a foreshadow of the ultimate way he served us by loving us and giving himself up for us and for our salvation.
